In turn-of-the-century Maine, books and mementos were revered—and treasured. Inspired by the thrift and craft of yesteryear, we designed our Farmhouse bookshelf for the homes of today. Each handcrafted modern Farmhouse bookshelf takes pride of place (and offers plenty of simple, stylish storage) in living rooms, bedrooms, home offices, and more.

Our low wood bookcase is handcrafted in Maine by a diverse, integrated workforce using sustainably sourced regional hardwoods and composite panels using time-honored traditional woodworking methods. Choose your favorite environmentally friendly, water-based finish from six serene colors for your small wood bookcase to make it truly your own.

ABOUT

At Maine Woodworks, we create cottage-style furniture that is bench-crafted and built to order, one piece at a time, right here in Maine. We use regionally sourced, sustainably harvested hardwood, composite framed panels, environmentally friendly finishes, and a combination of time-tested and modern-day joinery. Our drawers feature four-corner English dovetail construction with enameled Euro glides. In true Cottage style, we embrace color and strive to create lasting beauty with every piece of furniture we craft. Our vibrant color palette and elegantly simple designs add beauty and grace to any home.

LEAD TIMES

We strive to maintain lead times of six to eight weeks for production. Although Maine Woodworks cannot guarantee production lead times we provide our best estimates at the time of inquiry. We cannot guarantee shipping lead times. If you have any questions about lead times or delivery, please contact Maine Woodworks at 207.887.1989.

SHIPPING

Maine Woodworks offers White Glove Home Delivery, a premium shipping service that includes final quality inspection of your furniture in our workshop before it is blanket wrapped and delivered to your destination. This service also includes any assembly required at delivery, placement of furniture in your home and removal of all packaging materials. Once your order is ready to ship, you will receive an email from MWW with an anticipated delivery time for your order. As your delivery date approaches, you will also receive a call from our white glove delivery service to schedule a convenient time for delivery. Lead times for shipping and delivery are three to six weeks once the furniture order is complete. We cannot guarantee white glove delivery lead times. Shipping lead times can vary based on location. Please note, Maine Woodworks is not able to deliver to island destinations, or outside the contiguous United States at this time.

FURNITURE PICK-UP

All furniture orders are also available for pick-up at our workshop in Saco, Maine, for no additional charge. If this is your preference, we will be in touch as soon as your order is complete and ready to be picked up. Please bring blankets, padding and other appropriate protection for use when transporting your new Maine Woodworks purchase. Blanket-wrapping and boxing are available at an additional charge.

PRODUCT CARE

We recommend cleaning our furniture with a soft, slightly damp cloth and wiping it dry. Dab any spills right away and avoid placing beverages or hot or cold items directly on any surface. Please do not wax or polish Maine Woodworks furniture. Touch-up paint is available.

WARRANTY

Maine Woodworks offers a one-year warranty against defects. This does not include normal wear and tear or the natural patina that occurs over time with painted cottage furniture. It also does not include any damage that may have occurred from neglect or accidental damage. Maine Woodworks furniture is for indoor use only. Extreme changes in temperature and humidity should be avoided. Please call 207.887.1989 with any questions.
